  • MiO water enhancer question

would this be allowed while on Primal diet?

You're allowed 20% theoretically, so sure, why not? It's certainly no more harmful than sugary drinks.

I admit to a weakness with an occasional Crystal Light myself.

I've seen that stuff at 7-11 before, it looks pretty intense for water flavor. I probably would be sick from the taste/additives, but I am curious about the taste and don't know anyone who has tried it-- if you drink it, it'd be interesting to hear your review.

I don't know about the regular flavored, not having tried them myself, but the caffeine-enhanced ones taste like regurgitated stomach acid.

Considering that primal is supposed to be natural, unprocessed, additive free and chemical free, I'm going to go with NO.

"The ingredients for Mango Peach includes: Water, Malic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Citrict Acid, Contains less than 2% of natural flavor, Sucralose and Acesulfame potassium(Sweeteners), Potassium citrate, Polysorbate 60, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40, Potassium Sorbate (Perservative). The ingredient for Peach Tea includes: Water, Malic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Citrict Acid, Contains less than 2% of natural flavor, Sucralose and Acesulfame potassium (Sweeteners), Potassium citrate, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Red 40, Potassium Sorbate (Perservative)."

The ingredients in an unsweetened Koolaid packet are less offensive.

Yikes, I'd rather drink pure sugar water than mess with that stuff.

I did drink Karo corn syrup right out of the bottle when I was a kid.

No wonder I'm so messed up.

Radical concept, I guess, but if you want fruit-flavored water, why not just pour some fruit juice into some water? I mostly drink it plain these days, apart from bubbles, but an ounce or two of 100% juice turns it into fruit soda without adding much sugar.

This drink is full of toxins. Why would you want to put something like that into your body? Drink water. If you absolutely *have* to have flavor, add a little lemon juice, or even a tiny bit of honey. Adding pure sugar would be better than the artificial crap in this drink.
