  • Coconut milk or cream in my coffee and scrambled egg?

Although I am going to cut coffee out again from tomorrow morning, I was wondering what is best, coconut milk or cream? I have read that coconut milk has many benefits, which cream doesn't, but the nutritional content on the tin says coconut milk has twice the carbs of cream and half the fat. I also like cream in my scrambled eggs and was going to try coconut milk instead, but as I still have 40 lbs to lose, I don't want to slow things down. Any ideas?
I did just have my first coffee with cc, and it was absolutely gurt lush, much better than cream!!

What benefits does the milk have that the cream doesn't?

Well coconut milk is not dairy, and I am a bit concerned that dairy might have a detrimental effect on me. I have read that coconut has some good effects, of course I can't recall them now, now that I am on the spot!! Will check on it tho!!

I have never tried coconut milk in my coffee but I do enjoy coconut oil with a little cream. I don't have any cm or cream in the house but I would check the sugar content. pretty sure cm doesn't have any. I think sugar is a huge enemy in the weight loss battle anything you use that is processed at all you should check the amount of sugar. for a long time I was mainly concerned with the carb count of things untill I realized that the sugar is just as bad if not worse.

I've tried it, but I just don't like coconut milk in coffee anywhere near as much as cream. Coconut milk and eggs, OTOH, are an awesome combo.

It'll grow on you eventually For me, within a span of 4 months, I went from cream > coco milk > even less coco milk > coco oil > black.

Thing is, the cream I get is from the local organic pastured dairy, so I really have no incentive to keep trying coconut milk in my coffee in hopes of growing accustomed to it.

                Ah, so lucky!
I don't think that it'll hurt to get used to both equally, but now that I've gone black, I can't go back xD

I cut coffee out two days ago, have had the most awful headache for two days now, but woke up this morning and
felt slightly better, its not thudding quite so bad! I am NEVER going back to coffee again, the withdrawal is just tooooo bad!!
Does anybody know why we get the headache when stopping, the chemistry of it?

I would start by not putting scrambled eggs in your coffee, that sounds way nar.

I like to have coconut milk in my morning coffee, I've been making my own homemade coconut milk recently because I'm sure its healthier than store-bought one. Here's the article about coconut milk in coffee, or read here about the benefits of coconut milk in general. Putting scrambled egg in coffee doesnt sound good to me)

Water in scrambled eggs make them fluffier than milk - ask a chef.

Using butter, coconut oil, or MCT oil in coffee, whirled in a blender, is great. And the convenience is one less thing to buy at the grocery store. I started doing this when I ran out of half 'n' half some months ago, and I haven't gone back to using it yet. While I don't avoid dairy, I figure one less dose of it daily can't be a bad thing.

I have heard this before... Coming from an old milk user, should I user the same amount of water as I did milk? I've been looking for ways to make my eggs fluffy again.

                              Thanks
