  • hacking wheat?

I let it back in the last 6 weeks, I admit it, hoping I could find a way to nuke it out. Have been unable to. I do not think I will try to for the next while or so- it is just too costly body fat wise. More trouble than it is worth.

Anyone ever tried to hack wheat? Sorry to suggest, newbies ignore. Do not try to do it- you will not be happy. I wonder though.

i don't think its possible. its designed by nature to be the way it is.

think it would be easier to just use almond flour or coconut flour.

i know you can soak it (like beans) and it will leach much of the toxins out but it becomes pretty much worthless then as well due to all the nutrients that were also leached out. so why bother?

Atkins Fat Fast helps a little but is by no means bulletproof.

Um, why would you want GMO hybrid Round-Up ready poison? Just stuff your face full of tallow and avocados until you can't imagine feeling hungry. You're better off being fat on paleo than skinny on wheat. By far.

We use Ezekiel 4:9 bread, tortillas and English muffins, made from sprouted grains. They're generally found in the freezer section at the supermarket, as they have no preservatives. The cinnamon-raisin English muffins are absolutely delicious with Kerrygold butter, and we most often use the bread toasted as a carrier for homemade liver pate.

I know many cut out wheat completely, but this is a good compromise for us.

I think she means completely cutting wheat from her diet. She's having a hard time letting it go it seems and is looking for advice.

This is a hard diet to do long term. But no, wheat & grains are not worth messing with.

I used to be the biggest wheat addict and now I can honestly care less about it. I honestly would suggest doing a whole 30. That means no substitutes.. you need to disassociate yourself from those foods.. HOWEVER, you need to pick 3 primal foods that you love.. I mean that you can't imagine living without. Everyday that you think of having wheat, I want you to eat one of those 3 primal foods. Also look for a new primal recipe and try it out every week. Refocus your energy away from "depriving myself of wheat" onto "discovering a delicous primal meal". Before you go shopping make sure you are nice and full. Also do the same if you are going to be somewhere where you are surrounded by food you find difficult to avoid. When you see that food, redirect your mind again like I said... or look at that food and think of pain in your stomach that it would cause, or the nausea..

Think of this as a form of operand conditioning. It really works. Once you are done with the "training" part.. life becomes easier and you are freed of your addiction. It is quite liberating.

If you have ever done any animal training.. positive/negative it is very similar! The positive part is the reward of primal foods. The negative part is the pain in the stomach. Its amazing what you can do with your mind. It's extremely powerful when directed correctly. Also the redirection technique that I am talking about.. the being full is about setting yourself up for success.. like putting the food that the dog is not suppose to touch in a covered container during training.

The question is more along the lines of Bulletproof biohack. Was just wondering. Can it be detoxed? Is there a way around it? As I mentioned already, eating nothing but butter and a tiny bit of protein for a few days helps a little. But the lectins in the wheat do seem to destablize due to adhering to insulin receptors.

Once your cravings are gone, and the food doesnt look so rewarding to you anymore.. then you have succeeded. Now its safe to enjoy some primal substitutes on occasion.

Honestly, the lectins are one of the least things I'd worry about in the wheat. If you just want to get rid of those, soak and cook them. The other parts, and parts that we dont even know about I'd be more concerned with. I think your messing with science that we dont fully understand, much like big pharma... I'm not willing to be a guinea pig when it comes to ingesting wheat... as the long term consequences are not good and its not a food we need to consume.
