  • How many eggs = a meal?

Like many here, I usually eat eggs for breakfast. I generally fry three and add some veggies. This works pretty well for me, and I've been doing it for awhile... but the other day, someone I live with saw me cooking and said, "Wow. Three eggs? That's a LOT."

So basically I feel like I'm some kind of pig now. Is three a lot for a meal if that's all I'm eating? I didn't think so... this coming from someone who chows down on ice cream and chocolate most nights... ugh.

How many eggs do you consider a meal?

4 for me, also. 3 eggs simply don't quite "do it for me."

          Howdy JR

3 eggs aren't all that many, some days I will make a 6 egg omelete. Normally I consume on the order of a dozen a day, it is a cheap source of protein and fat for a college kid stuck on a meal plan.

My whole life, I've felt like an animal......but I've ignored my instincts. I ignored what I really am. That will never happen again.

Hmm. If I do breakfast, I tend to have two.

Lunch or dinner omelette-type thing is normally 3, occasionally 4, and that's with onions and other things mixed in.

            Enjoy your arterycloggingsaturatedfatty eggs ;D

Some days I end up having half a dozen - 2 for breakfast, 4 in an omelette. It's rare, but hasn't killed me yet!

I have five to six eggs a day.

I usually do 2 for me. Husband does 3-4 depending on how hungry he is.

Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.

Id rather die on eggs than some silly processed crap. Back when I was bulking on the anabolic diet.I had a 4 egg scrambled egg serving with 6 slices of streaky bacon, cooked in butter and with coffe and whipping cream.

Todays my first primal day and I had a hearty 3 eggs, but today wasn't a lifting day so it did me ok for most of the morning!

I usually eat 4 if I'm eating just eggs, and 3 if I'm adding in bacon/ham/cheese.

It's 3:30pm and I had 6 eggs in the morning and three just now, both times with a bit of broccoli and spinach. Had some chicken with my latest meal.

Mind if I do a small spin off this? how many egg YOLKS? In the morning I had 2 out of 6, but just now I went 3-3... a lot of my more athletically inclined friends do mostly whites, I just like the taste with the yolk more so than without... any danger to yolks?

I used to seriously post here, now I prefer to troll.

I eat all the yolks, and you should too, iniQuity. That's where the good stuff (fats and nutrients) is. If you're buying omega-3 eggs and throwing out the yolks, you're throwing out the omega-3s, too, because the yolk is where they're stored.

                          Eat the entire egg!

Sweet! I love eggs with yolk so much more than just whites. Is it true that most of the protein content is in the whites though?
