  • Lowering Cholesterol

    Hello,

I want to lower my total cholesterol and LDL due to an upcoming boimetric screening in a month.

Here are my last cholesterol numbers:
    CHOLESTEROL 235
    TRIGLYCERIDE 53
    HDL 66
    LDL, CALC. 158
    HOURS FASTING 12 hours

I weigh 122 pounds with 27% body fat.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lower these numbers? Thanks so much!

Why tweak something that isn't broken?
It's not some test you have to pass to keep on living. Would you not cheat yourself? Because ultimately would you stick with what people tell you to lower your total cholesterol?
What if I told you, you can lower all of this by chowing down oatmeal and other grains a week before the test? Grains inhibit the production of healthy liver function, therefor killing cholesterol production (bile, fat-soluble vitamin and mineral uptake, digestion of fats, production of vit. D, production of retinol for yoru eyes, etc...)

This is one way to cheat the test, just don't stick with it...longterm results of grain consumption can result in indigestion, ulcers, acidosis, mineral and vitamin deficiencies, blindness, osteoporosis, cancers, diverticulosis, bowel cancer, diabetes etc...

And completely cut out all forms of animal fats, eat fish only or be on a semi-vegan diet the week prior to the test. It only works temporarily. After about 2 weeks of this diet your adrenals will upregulate everything and over long term you get adrenal fatique. Weight gain starts and everything goes into the wrong direction.

Those are pretty good numbers. Trigs are a little higher than some, but with your HDL in the good range I don't see any problem. Your total cholesterol is even a little low, though it means nothing.
