I'm usually around 40 mg/dl and I eat under 30g carbs/day. I think that's the middle of the scale. I've heard some people say that you only have to get a small reaction (5mg/dl) which is the lightest pink to be considered 'in ketosis' though the sticks are inconsistent for a lot of people. Eventually you become keto-adapted and might not get results with the stix. Really any time your body is using ketones for fuel instead of glucose you're 'in ketosis'.
Yeah everybody has different reactions to it. I'm bummed I'm not one of the people that has infinite energy in ketosis but frankly it's not tiring for me. The major side effect I can't handle much longer is the insomnia.
