    any ideas?

I eat nuts way too often, So I am trying to cut down on those.

Im trying to keep them around 12 g or more of protein

and of course some fat needs to be in there too.

    Thanks!

Jerky. You can get all kinds of jerky now, or just make your own. So far I've had Turkey, Beef, Salmon, Buffalo, Elk, etc. Hard-boiled eggs are good. Dried coconut flakes. Little mini cans of tuna. I think they are 2 or 3 oz. each. Just some ideas for you.

    Carpe Diem!

      Chicken Drumsticks.

They even have a little handle for your snacking convenience :-)

I make mini-fritatas in muffin tins and put them in those little glad ware snack cups. Smoked salmon is also very portable.

Kippered herring. I like the Seafood Snacks golden smoked flavor.

Guacamole with jicama chips for dipping. (Not much help on the protein front, though.)

I buy something called "Ostrim sticks." They are just 70 cal for 11g of protein. The old formula had nitrates, but now they make them pure beef with no additives at all. I suppose it's a form of jerky, but I like the fact that there are no additives, since I'm very sensitive to a lot of those things.

I also use nuts, and I've found that "counting" keeps me under control--i.e., I never eat more than 10 walnut halves or 15 almonds at any one time. And that's usually as a 'meal.'
