  • Eggs / Bacon

    Hi All:

Just starting my journey here and wanted to ask opinions on breakfast. I have a fantastic egg lady I get my eggs from and I also have a great source for bacon. Is having eggs and bacon literally everyday for breakfast a bad thing? Breakfast is easily going to be the toughest meal for me to change because I love cereal, bagels, english muffins, etc.

Thanks for any input, take care.

Go for it as you start. Or skip breakfast - intermittent fasting will be your friend.

    Begin to embrace omelettes, too.

    Enjoy the ride.

when i was still eating breakfast, early in my PB career, it was 5-6 days per
week w/3 or 4 eggs, 4 strips of bacon and 2 or 3 big tablespoons of sausage.
yummie! and i usually didnt even miss lunch, i would just realize on my way
to the gym (around 1700 that night) that my lunch cooler was awful heavy
      w/the salad and 1/3 ribeye i didn't eat.
now i don't bother w/breakfast and lunch is my biggest meal. this allows me
to workout <somewhat> fasted and eat afterwards, depending on how hungry
      i am.

It's not bad for you but you might get sick of it after a while. Change it up now and then with home made sausage, fruit and greek yogurt, bulletproof coffee, roasted apples, frittatas, crustless quiches, meat and veggie hash, etc. As mentioned above - not having breakfast is always an option too

I eat 2 eggs and 1 or 2 slices of bacon every day now for nearly 2 years. I love it!

HECK NO!!! Load up with 3 or 4 eggs and about 4 strips of bacon - that should last you through until dinner. I know it does for me!!! Nothing beats a good fat and protein load for an IF day. Also see the articles about leptin resetting by Dr. Kruse:

MY LEPTIN PRESCRIPTION - Jack Kruse
            Started 9/15/11 at 323 pounds
            2/16/13 at 241 pounds
Goal is 223 pounds or less

Sounds fine to me. I usually have either eggs & sausage for breakfast or eggs & bacon. I don't like to eat carbs first thing in the morning. I usually don't start eating carbs until lunch time (around 11:00 AM). I may as well get on board with this Leptin Reset thing since that's pretty much how I eat already. I don't like to snack :D
