  • Survival Week - Feb 7-12

Oh yes, I'm in need of a survival week. I can't seem to get myself back on track after vacay so time to get it back in gear. You with me?

Time to really rough it out. Things aren't looking so good for Grok. Winter's coming and food is getting scarce.

    Guidelines:

    1) No alcohol, dairy, chocolate, or "treats."

    2) Carbs below 50.

    3) IF one meal per day.

    3b) Or try going Carnivore.

    4) Use only what you already have in your kitchen. No new groceries.

How many can you follow? Can you take them all on at the same time? Can you survive?

    Meals for this week are:

red snapper (the salmon was too expensive)

    kalua pork

    taco salad

    bunless bacon cheeseburgers

    Indian chicken

I'm hoping to get 30 day shred in the mail by monday so i can get going on that as well.

I am hoping to stay away from all the crap DH brought home for super bowl tomorrow. That's why I started this thread early.

I'm in for the survival week.

My whole life, I've felt like an animal......but I've ignored my instincts. I ignored what I really am. That will never happen again.

Thanks DCKMA - I just can't stay on track - so this will help!

On with the same guidelines - and one more: I need to let go of decaf coffee w/ cream - I just drink too much of it... So I will be replacing it with hmade chicken broth. We'll see how it goes!

In the meantime, I'll be shoveling...

Hey hey!!! I need a survival week too, NO MORE CHOCOLATE THIS WEEK!!! I ate the rest of my 100% yesterday, so no more this week. Today will be good for superbowl day with homemade wings, jalapeno poppers, and deviled eggs! I'll have a little cream cheese with the poppers, but other than that no dairy this week.

          Thanks DC!

holy cannoli peeps! snOMG. we are supposed to get 12 more inches on wednesday!. this morning was cray cray (our -80 freezer went down for 24hrs in the lab and we lost all our samples. the entire research wing is in mourning the good news is that a lot of it was old stuff but we did lose some fresh samples which SUCKS.)

IF'ing for 24hrs today so i will FEAST on roast chicken, avocado & veggies at 6pm this evening. in the meantime i will be sipping black coffee, green tea & chewing betel nut if i need to feel more alert

exercise: REST i have been a workout machine the last 3 days and on top of it the snow shovel stylings are making me super sore. my body deserves this day off!

misa I shoveled snow on Saturday too, clearing the 20 or so stairs up to the house! That was tiring, especially since the snow was heavy and wet. It kept sticking to the shovel, which made the shovel even heavier! 45 minutes of that was my workout for Saturday We're supposed to get another 4 inches by tonight, then possibly 6 more by tomorrow night...oy!

I'm in on this...I sorta slipped a little this weekend and want to do another survivor week...plus, money is tight so I am trying to not buy anything for the week.

I'm out of chocolate, so that will be nice too!

                      Today's plan:

carnivore all day...this includes eggs though!

                      WOD is:

                      Start with…

                      25 Burpees

                      25 Box Jumps

                      Then…

                      3 Rounds

                      15 Renegade Rows (30#/20#)

                      15 Hang Power Cleans (88#/55#)

                      End with…

                      25 Burpees

                      25 Box Jumps

I am IN. I have been doing fairly well except for weekends, where I tend to get off track.

I am going to try to extend this Survival Week across the weekend as well.

                        My goals are:

                        -IF 1 meal a day

                        -IF 24hrs 1 time

                        -Carbs Below 50

                        -No Chocolate

                        -No Nuts

                        -No Alcohol

                        -No new groceries

I have on hand, roasted chicken, bacon, 6 eggs, 2 portions of frozen chili, and some various cuts of frozen meat. I should be able to eek out 7 days of 'survival'

I'm also pretty low on cash at the moment, so this is good timing. haha!

Alright, I'm ready for some serious survival!!!

                          24 hour IF

                          90 min yoga class

Crock pot french onion soup, and creamy jalapeno shrimp salad. Mmmmm (still haven't worked out the details on the dressing, just know it will involve bacon mayo and jalapenos! lol)

The more I see the less I know for sure.

                            B-IF

                            L-IF

                            D-IF

Don't plan on eating until tomorrow morning after swim practice and lifting. Which will account for my 1-24hr(+) fast for the week.

Sounds like a few snow storms going around. I don't envy that.

3 eggs fried in coconut oil, 1 cup milk, kalua pork, campanari tomatoes, cottage cheese, bunless bacon burgers.

Crossing my fingers that 30 day shred comes in the mail today. Otherwise I probably won't do any exercise.
