  • Flavor Enhancement for Boring Water

I know.. Water is good, but I can only stand the tasteless flavor for so long. I have been using a squirt of Mio in between 4 -5 cups of water just to "spice it up", but is this really ok? Or am I producing too much sugar by doing this. I am new to the Primal lifestyle and I tried to search the forums, but was unable to find anything regarding Mio, or Flavrz. Any advice would be awesome.

    Thanks,

    CD

I had to look up what MiO is. Doesn't sound like anything I'd want to add to my water.

Here's what I'd suggest as flavor enhancers:

    Product 2

MiO — Our Story So Far

It seems pretty harmless, but honestly, even little exceptions like that seem like a waste. Lemon or lime would be even more delicious.

What about a squirt of lemon juice and pure maple syrup?

I add apple cider vinegar, about 3 tablespoons. I used to add 1tblsp honey also, but now I just use the vinegar.

                      Lemon
                      Lime
                      Orange slices
                      Mint
                      Cucumbers
Ginger is surprisingly good in water
Or any combination of the above.

If you're looking for something that travels well, there's a product called RealLemon, RealLime, and RealOrange. I love the orange and lime in water. They come in packets, so I just take them with me and add them to my water bottle. It's in the baking aisle, above the sugar with the flavory things for iced tea, at my grocery store.

Watch the acid fruit drinks, guys.
Drinking it every day, multiple times a day is pretty hard on the tooth enamel. It's even suggested that you rinse your mouth with water after drinking fresh lemon juice/aide, so the acid isn't sitting in your mouth, eroding your teeth.

I love squeezing a lemon or two into a glass of water - it tastes better than adding the bottled(cooked) pure lemon juice from the store.
