I intend to try 2 intermittent fasts a week. Previously, I would start fasting after lunch, about 1 pm and carry on until breakfast, about 8 am the next day. It occured to me that a large part of the fast was while I was asleep. Since my body is at rest am I getting the most benefit out of this schedule? I thought I would change the fast so that a larger part of the time was during my awake, active hours. Or, on the other hand, would activity and sleep have any effect on the benefits of fasting anyway?
