  • A few Leptin Reset questions......Sorry

    Hey everyone,

I am doing my best to follow Dr. Kruse LR protocol as laid out on his website.
I started yesterday and actually LOVE it! I wasn't hungry between meals and I slept great last night.

    Here are my questions:

Did Dr. Kruse write a book about this? I can't seem to find one by him.

Can I have any carbs for breakfast?

Is walking at a moderate pace 4 hours after breakfast ok?

Is there any reason someone shouldn't do this protocol?

    Thanks!

There are some general "symptoms" on Dr. Kruse's website which indicate that you could be leptin resistant. If they apply to you, then it's probably worth doing the reset. If you don't have many (or any) of the symptoms, then doing the leptin reset probably won't provide any help to you.

I'm new to it myself so I don't have many other answers for you, but there's tons of info on his site. Eating the big protein-heavy breakfast has been a huge help to me. Since I've started doing this, I don't crash later in the day like I used to, and I can easily go 5 or 6 hours until I even think about lunch.

No book, blog and website and he posts here on the Leptin Reset thread (Digitalsurgeon) and at Paleohacks The Quilt or just Quilt).

You can have carbs for bkfst. If you need to lose weight keep your carbs for the day below 25g.

If you're not leptin resistant there is probably no reason to do the protocol.

I think moderate walking is OK. He prefers no exercise until you are leptin sensitive, and then exsercise after dinner.

I had the best luck using his FAQ page...THE LEPTIN RX……….. FAQ’s | Jack Kruse good luck, and be wary many give responses that are not based on his info. There are other Leptin Resets out there, but it is probably best to pick one and follow it is you are going to follow.
