    Martin Berkhan found that worked better for his female clients, but it's really up to you. Try 10 to get adapted to the IF protocol, go to 8, see how you feel and perform, etc., and adjust accordingly.

    Also you can experiment with the other IF protocols like ESE, ADF, 5:2, etc.

    • I notice that as I continue to listen to my body, my first meal gets later in the day, but I'm not necessarily eating my last food later at night.
