  • Anyone use protien/meal replacement bars?

I am in need of an on the go snack- and am trying to cut down on nuts... anyone have a bar they can recommend? I've been unable to find anything remotely primal, other than Lara and Pure bars which have too little protein to do much for me...
    thanks!

I would recommend checking Kind bars but if you're cutting down on nuts, that's not what you want.

Jerky and hard boiled eggs make good high-protein snacks. You may find after awhile that you don't need to snack as long as you're eating enough at your meals.

I could be wrong but I thought eating meal replacement anything is frowned upon around here?

No, not necessarily. It's frowned upon as a steady means of "eating." But as an occasional thing, or to ensure you get enough protein in a day, it is a respectable way of maintaining your health needs.

+1 all though most jerkys have sugar and other crap. Just fry up some bacon and save it a ziploc bag along with the eggs.
