  • Primal Beef = Grass Fed; Primal Pork = ??

I know Pork aren't 'grass-fed', what do I ask for from my local farmers to ensure they are raising their pigs to Primal specifications? What else should I confirm before I order a half or whole pig?

Free range, I'd say. They're probably still fell crappy grains, but at least they'll have space to move and dig around.

One that is whey-fed (maybe a dairy that owns a few pigs), or as suggested above (Forested) would be tops on my list. The forested pigs eat a lot of nuts (typically acorns) near slaughter time and they tasted GREAT!

Pastured is the usual term around here.

Mainly not wheat fed, that would be the big one to avoid.
