I'm interested in intermittent fasting for health. I don't see myself doing 24 hour fasts. I'd love to hear more about variations on IF, and any research you all have found related to IFing and health. Skipping meals here and there seems doable to me. Eating in a window of time (like 8 hours--not seeing myself doing just 5 yet) seems possible too. I'm interested in figuring out what would work best for *me*. And I'm interested in which forms are most healthy/helpful to my body. I don't care about weight--I just want to do it to continue improving/bettering my health.
So I'm just looking to read up on it all b/4 throwing myself into it. If you have links about studies on it, or what is necessary to make a fast beneficial (like minimum number of hours how many times a week, etc.) I'd be really interested to see them! I've been reading a bit in the archives of the MDA blog/site, but would love to check out more! (I know I'll learn what feels best to me from just *doing* it, but I'd love to learn more about the science behind it and what makes others feel good first!)
TIA for any responses!
