  • Question about carbs in general!

Are all carbs the same? For instance if i ate 80 carbs a day of vegetables and some fruit or if i ate 80 carbs a day of veggies and that 20 included a sandwhich but it still stayed in the 80 gram a day range for fat loss, is there a difference in where the carbs come from? I'm a high school student so its alot easier to be able to take a sandwich to school rather than trying to take some tupperware to school with PB food in it but i will if theres a huge difference in the results i will see.

I would recommend reading the book and or some of the articles on the website.

carbs from grains are nothing but sugar and would probably be better off avoiding. stick to veggies and an occasional piece of fruit.

I'm new to Primal living but as far as I have learned grains lead to inflammation, heart disease, vitamin D deficiency and damage to the intestinal lining that can introduce substances to the blood that shouldn't be there, causing autoimmune problems- all this in addition to the insulin response.

This entire diet is based off avoiding foods which aren't good for you. Not staying under some stupid number. So to answer your question, you're better off eating 50 lbs. of steak than a sandwich.
