  • sheep/goats yogurt

    Hi,
If keeping my caloric intake in check, and not having an intolerance to yogurt. Can goat/sheep yogurt put on fat?

    hanging out for this answer.

    Thanks

I think anything can potentially put on fat but I wouldn't think goats or sheeps milk yogurt would do so more than cows milk yogurt

I was thinking due to the lower sugar content from lactose. I don't want epithial growth factor and insulin release. Thoughts?

I dunno - I drink goats milk rather than cows milk, and from what I have read it is slightly higher in fat, but easier to absorb well, and it has about 10% less lactose. I think that the higher fat may balance out against the less lactose.

I have dairy goats, and I use their milk, yogurt, and goat cheese. Goats are one of the first animals to have been domesticated, and I'm sure my Paleo ancestors were the first to milk goats.

          Just use it within reason.

Are you in Southern Missouri by any chance? I have some yogurt you could try.
