  • I know this is a bizarre question...but is it okay to eat bones?

Whenever I get a rotisserie chicken I love eating the bones that my teeth are able to chew and grind into a pulp before swallowing. I eat a lot of delicious marrow within the smaller bones this way. Mind you, I don't eat all the harder bone parts, but I was wondering if this is an okay thing to do.

I'd say as long as you aren't swallowing shards of bone, and you're truly chewing them thoroughly you're probably ok.

Yes, as long as you're not swallowing any pointy bits or damaging your teeth, I'd say it's perfectly fine.

Rosegin and paleo_hailey say it all for me. Grok on. :-)

Bones that are soft enough to chew I'd eat. Did that since I was little.

The boney parts are always my favorite. Bone in steak is always more delicious that boneless. Roughly chopped up roast duck tastes much better than deboned roast duck breast.

There is a certain feeling of "connection" to my food when I have to work at it to eat it.
