  • That is probably NOT a blueberry you're eating......

This link is worth the click.... and just reiterates how we need to educate ourselves instead of believing the marketing departments of major food companies and the crap they are dreaming up.

I once found "blueberry" pancake mix in a friend's cupboard and had a good laugh when I read the ingredients list. Not that I expected much, anyway. :P

You have reminded me - I haven't been out picking bilberries this year (UK). I hope they aren't completely over.... I shall go out today.

and there's a chance it's not grass-fed beef your eating, so we need to educate ourselves on what criteria a cow has to meet to be a happy grass cow.

the deception goes both ways, don't think you're in the clear because you pay double the price for your slab of meat.

Assuming these companies are doing a bait-and-switch to save on costs, is it really cheaper to use all those artificial ingredients? Or is their goal to make people addicted and unhealthy? I wonder how many of these nasty food companies own stock in pharmaceuticals.

Thanks for sharing... I noticed a commercial the other day, I think from Total, or one of those cereal companies. "Over 95% of Americans don't get enough whole grain in their diet" REALLY!?

I'm pretty much at the point that if it comes in a box, regardless of what it says, regardless of the nutrition info, regardless of the ingredients, it's a no go for me.

Grinning ... as my doc (a primal chiro/personal trainer) has said more than once ... there's more nutrition in eating the box than there is in eating the contents ! LOL

This. Unless it's a box of avocados.
