  • Fructooligosaccharide?

there is something like 210mg of this in my probiotic,
as someone who is doing all the right things to lean out, I want to know if this will hinder my results!

    any information is appreciated

That'll be a prebiotic. It'll be in there for market-differentiation. It's something that's hard-to-digest but that gut flora can live off. AFAIK, prebiotics can be a bit so-so: if your gut flora is pretty good then they can help the good bacteria to multiply, but if you've a pathogen in there you could be providing food for it.

I don't think I'd worry about it unless I had reason to believe my flora was unbalanced. If yours is not, it could well have a positive effect. On the whole, I prefer wholefoods not elements extracted from foods—I mean if you want fermentable soluble fibre why not eat onions, for example, and get everything else that's in them?—but it's probably OK.

Shouldn't hurt. FOS is good food for your gut bacteria. I often add it to my smoothies with no problematic effects.
