Seems much like the Ornish diet (low-fat, vegetarian), although Ornish did allow some non-fat dairy. Someone I know reversed his heart disease on the Ornish diet, was quite remarkable. That same person developed type 2 diabetes within 2 years, but I'm sure that's completely unrelated to eating a very high-carb diet.
