  • Silver Spoon flavouring

    You know, the stuff you'd normally use in baking? The ingredients tend to be water, ethanol and 'flavouring', but sometimes they substitute the alcohol for sunflower oil. I avoid the oily ones due to migraine trigger issues and because they don't fit the PB, though use the others to jazz up fruit tea or mix into omelettes and was wondering how good or bad they are for you.

    I'd imagine they're zero carb and the manufacturers claim they contain no artificial colours or flavours.

      Here's some more info. The almond and rum flavours are really nice - you wouldn't know the difference if you did a blind taste test with the real thing. The vanilla and strawberry ones are absolutely tasteless. Whoever is in charge of the quality control on those should be fired. I haven't tried the lemon or peppermint flavours.
