  • Carrots & Beets

I cant seem to be able to find where Ive read that boiled beets and boiled carrots are carbohydrates treated by blood in the same way as breads and pasta are..That their consistency changes from mostly water to closer to processed carbs when they're cooked, and that they shouldnt be combined with meat and fats in a meal..

    Anyone has any links/opinions/info?

I've never heard that and, when not doing the leptin reset, eat beets and carrots a couple of times a week. I always eat them with meat and fat. That said I roast them and don't boil them. Perhaps that makes a difference.

Roasting is 1000x better than boiling, for both nutritional and culinary reasons.
