    I hardly ever drink water, and I feel like I hardly ever need water, so maybe you're right.

        I think I'm some kind of anormality. I have no thirst-drive whatsoever and often end up completely dehydrated because I 'forget' to drink, even when I workout. So, wish I had that need

          My youngest daughter drinks so much water, I don't know how she does it! And she says she needs it, but wasn't that way when she was younger, so I think you might be onto something.


          Personally, I think the whole hydration craze is a gimmick dreamed up by the water bottling industry.

            Agreed, although, I am a water fiend.


            Working at an office with a water cooler and 1.5L bottle from the morning is too good!


            I probably drink WAY too much water as per recommended by PB, but hey it's all good.

              When I hardly drink any water at all, I don't seem to need it that much.


              But once I make a conscious effort to drink more water (mostly for my skin), I am suddenly parched all the time.


              I drank 4 glasses yesterday (a lot, for me) and woke up in the middle of the night from thirst and can't seem to get enough down me today.


              What gives, I wonder?

                My mouth seems to feel perpetually dry these days, so I'm always thirsty. Though I don't think I actually get more than the 'recommended' 8 glasses a day.

                  I drink a lot of water. Probably around 60-80 ounces a day of total fluids. I'm thirsty for it. I used to be one of those "must drink water" people, and now I realize it's not so important, but it's like a habit and I actually crave it and feel thirsty when I don't. I'm also supplementing with creatine regularly and it's important to stay extra hydrated with creatine, so I figure it's probably a good thing I drink so much.
