    Feb 2009 - 158 pounds - 43.6% body fat
    Aug 2013 - 138 pounds - 34.3% body fat
    So far, lost 19.8 pounds of body fat and gained 1.8 pounds of lean mass
    Goal - 136 pounds - 30% body fat
    Still need to lose 6.4 more pounds of body fat and gain 4.2 more pounds of lean mass

      Cool idea to track this way.
      Your before pics look great. A lot of people would be very happy if their after pics looked like that! I'm not sure if you need the leptin reset based on how Dr Kruse explained who needs it, but if it helps, so what? I'm in the same boat. I did it to switch from grazing to see what happens.

      Have you tried taking the progesterone at bedtime? It can help with sleep, especially if you are on other hormones.

        Thanks for the compliment! I did talk to Dr. Kruse on his blog, and he said that with 35% body fat and high Reverse T3, I needed to do the reset, and he told me not to exceed 25 net carbs, to boot.

        Have you tried taking the progesterone at bedtime? It can help with sleep, especially if you are on other hormones.
        I apply progesterone cream in the morning, I take progesterone pills at bedtime (they do help me sleep), I take T3/T4 two hours after breakfast and I have a testosterone implant in my backside that gets replaced every four months. I am BHRTed up, baby!

              Hi Rebecca,

              I am just finishing my 2nd month primal. I am only weighing myself once a month but at the first month had lost 8 lbs. Not sure about this month but the size 16 shorts are now "wardrobe malfunctions" so I had to go to the size 14's. I am seriously considering skipping the weigh in. I now have a waist again, legs look good and i feel great!! When (I know at my age (51) it is not an if) I stall out, I will probably do a reset which makes me very interested in your experience. I, thankfully, do not have the added difficulty of hormonal issues. This whole experience has been really weird for me. Before this, I thought I was truly losing my mind, I would want to eat, eventhough I was full. Crazy came to mind, and started questioning if I had emotional issues I was repressing. Got off carbs and no craving at all. Hmmmm, maybe Mark Sisson, Gary Taubes and Fat Head are right!! DH has gone Primal with me which is a godsend. One dinner for all. Of course, he is already on his way to a 6 pack - gag me.

              Thank you so much for sharing your journey. It means a lot to me. (P.S. am a retired business manager totally understand the numbers fascination :-))

                It sounds like you are doing great, Marta! You lose weight a lot easier than me, so maybe your lack of hormone problems is why. I have been low carb and primal for over a year now, and just doing that has not been enough.

                  prometrium two hours before bed is rock starish for most of my post menopausal women. ask your doc about it. 100 to 200 mgs qd.

                          Yesterday, I went to bed at 8:50 pm and read until 9:25 pm. I took 5mg melatonin plus 3mg time released melatonin. I could not fall asleep, even though I was feeling woozy from the melatonin. After I finally fell asleep, I woke up at 12:30 am with really bad cramps and had to run to the bathroom. The pain was so bad that I was having waves of nausea roll over me and I thought I was going to vomit. I went back to bed and fell asleep, but woke back up at 1:30 am with bad cramps again and ran to the bathroom again. The cramps and running to the bathroom lasted for at least 30 minutes. Every time I laid back down, it would hit me again. I finally went back to sleep and slept for about four hours. When I woke up, I was hit with the cramps again.

                          I got up for good at 6:40 am this morning.

                          I just bought the melatonin I took last night. For whatever reason, it is obvious that I am not going to be able to use it at all. Not only does it not help me sleep, but it makes me sick. This makes me sad, because I need to sleep, and melatonin always worked in the past. My hormone doctor is gone until Monday, so I will have to wait until then to talk to her about this. I have got to get some sleep!

                            Wow, a whole page with no SugarBaby. I'll go back a page soon to see about ur progress.

                            B: 2 egg goat cheese omelette, kangaroo patty, 2 sm sl avocado.
                            Then made zucchini fritters. Ate one.

                            L: leftover 1/2 roo patty and can salmon, salad, cheese.
