Eat real food, only when you're hungry, and stop when you're full.

      Hmm...

      Know thyself.

Some people feel great skipping breakfast. Others need the "good morning, good day" approach. Some people can slash carbs to very little and slim down quick. Others plummet into a lethargic depression. Some people can have a cheat meal, or a small dessert after dinner, and that gives them the drive to stay the course. For others it's like giving a recovering alcoholic a nightcap.

There are common things that are good for you. But we still have different wiring and mentalities. Our histories, mindsets, and lives are different. So weight loss is not cut and dried beyond the scientific caloric deficit. Also, what's important to figure out, is if you are using your diet or meal plan to hold down your insecurities or emotional problems. Even if you do lose weight, those demons don't stay tied down forever.

I have tried a few times and cannot skip meals. Even if I'm eating high fat, low carb I can't. I'm sure some of it is my OCD attention to routine. I just eat smaller and better.

Eat only when at the dining table and no more than three times per day.
If you are new to the PB - please ignore ALL of this stuff, until you've read the book, or at least http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-101/ and this (personal fave): http://www.archevore.com/get-started/

...And I agree with the "eat real food" crowd. That's been my nutritional slogan for years.

I don't know, now that I've dropped 60#'s every idiot I work with is critiquing my dinner, telling me the best way to lose weight (the fat folks, that is) etc, etc. Just like the people w/o a pot to piss in will tell you the best way to make money.

As for advice, read The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. Do what it says to do.
