  • we don't have In and Out or Carl's Jr. and we stopped going to Red Robin because of the endless fries. Which I don't actually care for but DS cannot stop eating.

    • [QUOTE=Dr. Bork Bork;610285]Eh? I can't do a pull up to save my life! You could hold me at gun point, and try as I might, I would still not be able to get my chin over that bar!

Haha!! Didn't think of it that way. I was thinking of what they call to a military pilot when the plane is going down!!! BTW, good job on putting together a plan -- that's part of the battle. You CAN do it!!

      • I got it but my DH is a pilot. It would never have occurred to me that she wanted you to do *gasp* exercise!

        • LOL. I didn't know what it was in reference to.

Chris, you know you can substitute fruit or steamed veggies for fries at RR, right?
The burger that makes me happy is a lettuce wrapped monster blue ribbon burger with onion straws (yes, I know they're not primal, but they make me happy), and chipotle mayo

          • nope, didn't know you could substitute, have not been there for over 2 years. DS would not substitute anything for unlimited fries.

We go out to eat very rarely so no huge loss. We tend toward local places when we do.

            • Today is hubby's birthday. Plans are: run a 5k together (half of the last mile is up a class 5 hill by my house, which I lovingly call the Hill to Hell). And we're going to Tucanos for late lunch, and taking Grace to a little trick or treat hoo-ha around the restaurant after (the shops are sponsoring it).
Sooo... IF for breakfast, and Tucanos free for all at lunch. Honestly, the worst thing I eat there is fried bananas, the rest is meat and veggies.

                • Doing really well today. Ran an honest race (considering I'm still injured, blah), and the only thing I've eaten today is a cup of tea with some coconut milk, and free samples at Real Foods. SO READY FOR TUCANOS! Carnivore paradise, om nom nom! I think the birthday boy (hubby) is having a nice day too.
BTW, the man WALKED the race 8 mins faster than I RAN it. I tremble to think what he's capable of if he actually trained.

                  • Is he a lot taller than you? DD's boyfriend is 6'7" and she is 5'7" and she runs as he walks his stride is so long. Although she is in much better shape than he is, and he tends to saunter as she has a peppy stride.

                          • Just joined (helphelp)....

Thyroid brain fog + Leptin coaching needed. Best thread here would be...? Maybe it's this one.... maybe the answer is upthread already if someone could direct me how to search in threads.

I have read Mastrering Leptin & Leptin Diet.

The current issue is schedule tweaking I described elsewhere yesterday:

It's my schedule. And this is not a complaint, just a description... For a clergy spouse (and probably others), each week has two totally different types of schedule in it. Mine s M-F with one sked and F-Sun another one. If you have that sked dichotomy in your profession too, I bet you have prayer AND tips to offer.

On top of that-- for those of us professionally involved with ministry-- is the church year's effect on scheduling, plus emergency situations to which we respond as needed. But as a thyroid patient, my health requires some rigidity of routine (just like a diabetic's would), and I am having a heck of a time weaving a truly workable routine by following our Lord's prompting faithfully.

And for a thyroid patient, this is a real-easily-broken mechanism, because one of the first effects of wonky response to thyroid meds is BRAIN FOG-- so that the very ability to think is often impaired.

So that is the background behind the request: MY SCHEDULE. For the total Rule of Life.

Thanks very much for any help,

                            ~Susan

                            • I have been doing a fair bit of research on the Leptin Reset Program. I have a question, is it OK to drink Kombucha while participating in the reset program? Thanks so much!
