      I'd say vodka and tequila... That's what I've heard - I'm a non-drinker

        fill glass with club soda
top off with about a tablespoon of CHOPPED GINGER (even better is to put a nob through the garlic press!)

Srsly. Then tip the bartender. Alot! And if he's cute, take him home. Or if she's cute for that matter. What are you doing in a bar anyway????!!
My friend makes a similar drink with cayenne pepper and ginger, but with gin instead of tequila… she claims she never feels hungover as a result…

        She just said it’s…

        - ginger pepper simple syrup (so minced ginger and pepper with some sugar water)
        - tonic water (so uh, more sugar) I suppose soda could work since you already have a simple syrup, OR tonic but skip the simple syrup.
        - gin
        - dash of cayenne pepper

Not so primal but sounds delicious.
I used to seriously post here, now I prefer to troll.

Give it up and drink plain water.

ZERO alcohol is the only acceptable amount.

          Don't you know alcohol causes liver damage ? ? ? ?

Most hard liquor on the rocks will do. It also usually ends up cheaper. A little alcohol or sugar isn't going to kill you or derail you progress. I think the lean gains guy talks about having 2 beers a night and maintaining single digit bf%. Just partake in the nectar with moderation.

Apple cider, which I'm gonna make myself this fall. I move enough not to care about carbs.

                    Ancestral Health Info

I design websites and blogs for a living. If you would like a blog or website designed by someone who understands Primal, see my web page.

Primal Blueprint Explorer My blog for people who are not into the Grok thing. Since starting the blog, I have moved close to being Archevore instead of Primal. But Mark's Daily Apple is still the best source of information about living an ancestral lifestyle.

I was (still am) pretty sure that the book, 'Primal Blueprint', doesn't include alcohol as a worthwhile beverage. I know that when I read Rob's book,
'The Paleo Solution', and found alcohol permitted I was somewhat taken aback. I can't check on the Primal Blueprint book's reference to alcohol because my book is out on loan. I will check ASAP though because there is the chance that I am wrong.

Mark's blog posting about alcohol ends with the following: " However Primally compatible any beverage might be, we don’t intend this as an endorsement to drink on a regular basis. As mentioned, a good diet can offer the same nutritional benefits and then some. You aren’t missing out if you choose to abstain, and we’d recommend it, in fact, if you’re in weight loss mode. For an otherwise healthy individual, red wine or – more occasionally – other low carb drink choices can certainly fit into the Primal 80/20 principle. "

So, this tends to lean toward my belief of what was in the PB book. His blog article was not intended to be an endorsement of drinking alcohol and it fits into the 80/20 principle. Note the part where he writes about abstaining---he recommends it. To me the implication is that a Primal Blueprint purist, going 100%, will not consume alcohol. As I posted above, I am not in that crowd.
