  • Gestational Diabetes Test

So, I will be 29 weeks along on Thursday of this week and all I can say is that living the primal lifestyle has made pregnancy a breeze! (Of course, this is my first pregnancy, so I can't be 100% sure if it's just the way my body handles it or if it really is the primal eating - but I'm betting on primal.) Minimal weight gain, no swelling, no heartburn, no digestive issues, no muscle cramps, etc.

I took the GD test this morning and anything less than 140mg/dL is passing. My number was 78mg/dL!!! I am so proud of myself. I was really concerned because my father and aunt both have diabetes and I was convinced that I would have GD. In fact, my father's diabetes is one of the factors that led my husband and I down the primal path 2 years ago.

Yeah You!!!! I hated that test. Back when I was preg (& severely obese) with both my boys they made me take it every 2 months. I had to have someone drive me because the thing mad me so ill.

Best preggers wishes to you and your hubby!!!!

      Yay!
My first preg was super easy, too, but I ate terrible & gained 40 lbs. I got to escape the GDT thanks to the T2 diabetes I had already given myself.

I am looking forward to when I am ready to have another little one and do it the Primal way.
