• What A Bunch Of Junk...

    Hey everyone, I just came across this crazy propaganda from our very own Dr. Oz.

    What a lovable character.

    It's about a "Meat Eating Cowboy" named Rocko.

    He has horrible bloodwork, and they blame it on the "meat" he's eating.

    They put him on a vegan diet, and magically 28 days later, he's all better!

    If you watch the video, and filter out all of the "anti meat eating propaganda" you'll hear that he was struggling not to go eat at fast food restaurants, eat fettuccine alfredo, etc. There are also clips of him eating a fast food burger in his truck while driving.

    Anyhow... my point?

    He probably got "better" because he wasn't slurping down all that soda, wheat, and tons of french fries.

    He also said that he cut down on calories, and walked 10,000-12,000 steps a day.

    But that doesn't matter right? It's just that he cut out the *meat* in his diet.

    Uhhhh huh...

    Way to confuse the issue guys...

    Here's the video:

      No, no...it must have been the meat. French fries and trans fat are good for you {{sarcasm}}

      Unfortunately this seems to be conventional knowledge these days. Lots of stories of people "stopping meat" and suddenly gettng better. If they'd just replace the bread/fries/pasta with veggies & keep the meat, they'd probably have seen excellent results.

            Diana, don't forget to let Dr. Roizen, "The Enforcer," share some of that "quack" title...

              Nina, I personally know of so many relatives who have given up eating meat to improve their health. And they all have diabetes, hypertension or some heart issue. I feel so bad for them.
