I ended up in the ER maybe 5 years ago, thinking I was having a heart attack. Nothing helped until they eventually gave up and slipped me some morphine. They did some tests and threw me on Prilosec for 2 weeks, then told me to take Zantac for however long until the pain was gone.
Except it was never gone.
It seemed like the Zantac just made the pain come back with a vengeance, and I have a pretty high pain threshold. Finally I saw something on TV about trying a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar when the heartburn flared up instead of Zantac or Tums or whatever. I only used it for maybe a month max, and the times I needed to got further and further apart until I didn't need it at all.
"Certified Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is unfiltered, unheated, unpasteurized and 5% acidity. Contains the amazing Mother of Vinegar which occurs naturally as strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules."
Tons of benefits. One of the best ways of dealing with heartburn / acid reflux ever. For a long time, I kept a glass of water with ACV in it on my bedside table every night, just to deal with fits of acid reflux. Nothing else worked, ACV did like a charm. Problem is long gone.
