I have just read that it is speculated that high protein intake raises igf-1 levels in the body with seems to be ralted to hormone-dependent cancers like breast or prostate cancer. Also, methionine (an amino-acid) restriction seems to be associated with longevity. I have also learnt to be somewhat skeptic when ot comes to studies about nutrition so I would like to ask you opinion about it. I am still trying to figure out what optimal macronutrient ratios are for me...
