  • Spirulina Recipes?????

I ordered Spirulina online and so far have not been able to tolerate it in anything taste wise, please help me out. I ordered a lot of it after reading about it but it tastes terrible!

I take it you got the powdered form. Next time get the pills .

I used to take it in a drink that was sweetened with crystal light (back in CW days). A few tsp in 2 liters of liquid balanced out pretty well. You can try it in smoothies, or basically anything else that has the sweetness to cut the bitterness of spirulina.

    Good luck!

I think I am going to buy spirulina soon from nutsonline. I will be making a few spirulina based smoothies for my primal smoothie recipe ebook!

I only like it in smoothies with fruit to cover up flavor

Uhhh... maybe? Where did you buy it from? How much do you have and how much do you want for it?

Right... but is the flavor that bad? I don't like sweet smoothies. I am the "smoothie king" but most are not sweet. They just taste awesome. Primal. I think spirulina would be a good sub for whey.

How many TBSP do you use per smoothie? I was thinking 4 TBSP so I can get 16 grams of protein. Add 2 eggs and you have 32 grams of protein at minimum!
