• Things you can't give up

Just curious about what each of you have or had a hard time giving up!

    Me, it's peanut butter...

Bananas. Love the hell out of 'em.

Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

I was thinking of starting a thread along the same line.

      Fruit

Rice - I don't eat it as often anymore but if I cheat, it had better be rice.

Chronic cardio - I'm running what may very well be my last marathon on Sunday after 25 years of nearly daily running and going 100% Primal on Monday.

I feel like I'm leaving my wife for another woman.

          TOAST.

Life on Earth may be punishing, but it includes an annual free trip around the sun!

Yeah, ditto on peanuts and pb...uh that kind.

The last I bought was unsalted in the shell. Unsalted, not as tasty as salted, and the sodium thing. In the shell, not so many per unit of time.

I find that fruit is easier to give up as time goes by, although I still sure do love it. Bananas were easy knowing how many starch carbs and sugar carbs are in them.

              Crack. Kidding, no bad posts.

              Soda. That was hard.

I try to make up for the peanut butter by eating the organic unsalted kind. So goddamn addictive!!!

Another thing I couldn't give up on but eventually did was cheese... I feel so much better now!

Chocolate, wine. I love Green & Black's 85%, and there's nothing like Red Cat red wine.

Other than that... I'm drawn to fine cheeses.

                  I try to limit myself.

Diana Renata, dark chocolate and wine are part of the primal diet, though. Do you consider that something to give up on?

Strong English tea with skimmed milk. I drink it by the pint. Why skimmed? I've been drinking it since I was 16 and can't stand the taste, smell and texture of any other kind of milk.

Aside from that, posh chocolate. I'm not talking about Green & Black 85% - which is good, yes. I'm actually a member of the Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Tasting Club. I get selection boxes every few months or so and go through tasting and ranking each chocolate. They are not all dark, and the filling are most certainly not primal. They're in my 20%.

Oh and I do eat cheese, but make it goat or sheep, usually.

                            Popcorn!

Huddled up next to my hubby on the loveseat, watching a DVD. Gotta do it once a week.

It's such a good vehicle for getting in a few tablespoons of coconut oil!

White chocolate. I think the fat is good, but I know the sugar is bad.
