  • What are your views on Paleo 2.0

Kurt Harris has just published his P2 Manifesto over at PaNu. I believe it is actually rather in line with Mark's ideas in principle, even though of course differences remain. What do you guys think?

UPDATE: I have created a special category on this topic over at my blog http://thorfalk.wordpress.com/category/paleo-2-0/

love it. Dr. Harris has an annoying tendency to make sense.

i'm a big fan. i especially like how he sees it as an improvement with room for more improvement. and, yeah, he seems to always make lots of sense.

Hey, if it works, then it's not surprising it's in line with what we're finding here from Mark. There are only so many right answers... :P

I just read it last night.

            Excellent article, right on.

Like anything else, "Paleo" goes through phases... The points made in "Paleo 2.0" are accurate and timely. Things have evolved. More ideas come out. Things get a bit scattered and seem ill-defined, and it's time to re-group and get better. Nothing wrong with that.

I like it, and it makes sense. And it's conveniently in line with what Mark Sisson has been saying.

In general what I like about PaNu is that he separates the idea of healthy eating from how to lose weight. Of course the two go hand in hand for many of us, but it's not all about macronutrient ratios.
"Trust me, you will soon enter a magical land full of delicious steakflowers, with butterbacons fluttering around over the extremely rompable grass and hillsides."

I’m a fan, even if K. Harris told me he’s not a fan of guys with kickboxing avatars (I may have made a comment about his starch choices haha) I actually just text a friend to go read his blog after talking about grass fed beef. I like Panu a lot.
I used to seriously post here, now I prefer to troll.

He's smart. I'm not sure the name should catch on, but he has a good idea.

It's one of my favorite sites besides this one. I've gone back and read almost all of his older articles.

I think it's mainly about branding, and who owns the "Paleo king shit" title, but Dr. Harris is where I got started and I owe him a debt. As paleo turns from a counterculture movement to the next "Atkins" fad, all kinds of people who got the movement started are going to be cashing in. Witness Mark's whole product line, Robb Wolf's paleo frozen dinners with soybean oil (!) etc. People are gonna do what they do.

But as far as a dietary manifesto, I don't know a better one than Panu.
