What is everyone's favorite coffee, and how do you like to prepare it?

I usually prefer preparing a nice cup of Intelligentsia or Backgammon (hard to find though) light or medium roast --grinding it, brewing it in French press--with a dose of heavy cream. Nothing better! Love coffee black as well. I usually have a cup or two later in the day as well--decaf in the afternoon.

    My favorite coffee:

with just a little bit of sugar to offset the bitterness.

My favourite which I enjoy rarely is:

      1 oz. cherry whiskey.

      1 oz. rye.

      Fill the mug with coffee

Top with whip cream and a dash of Maple syrup.

I call it a Canadian coffee

I like a double espresso, neat, pulled by a skilled barista. My two favorite coffee roasters are Stumptown in Portland (http://www.stumptowncoffee.com/) and Espresso Vivace in Seattle (http://www.espressovivace.com/)

@maba: I LOVE coffee made this way---both the drink, and the ritual :-D

At home, though...I just use a French Press.

            daily grind: French roast, black.

"camping coffee": coffee, water, bring just to the boil. Add a cup of cold water to settle the grounds. Strain through your teeth from a enamel mug.

It's grandma, but you can call me sir.

I like Intelligentsia! Particularly their Black Cat Espresso.

My favorite coffee was a crop selection of 2004 Pluma Mountain Mexican Oaxaca from the estate owners private stash.

I roasted it 2 snaps into second crack.

                  It was a magical cup.

LAVAZZA Crema e Gusto, an italian coffee (have to drive 40 minutes regularly into Italy to stock up)made from Brazilian and Indian beans. I like a double espresso with just a "cloud" of milk, as the French say

I usually just get the bulk whole beans at Sunflower Market. I get the organic and my favorites are the Peruvian and the Organic Super Dark.

Actually, those of you who has access to a Trader Joe's- we buy a pretty good whole bean coffee there for a super good price - Peruvian Cafe Femenino Fair Trade Organic. It's medium roast, bright, nutty and sweet kind of like me.

A kona espresso blend from Honolulu Coffee Co - definitely a splurge.

Grinding your own beans is the way to go, organic always tastes the best!
