  • Do sprouted grains still have lectins?

    That's basically my question. The 'Deep Nutrition" lady says eat sprouted or fermented foods 5X per week.

    I like sprouted mung beans, sunflower seeds, and alfalfa seeds. But are they harmful?

    Hmmm. I see I said "sprouted grains" in the title. Should have said sprouted seeds. I'm not eating grain.

    I'm curious, too. I love sprouted mung beans. So easy to make and so tasty. Lately I've been getting radish and broccoli sprouts since I was unsure about the mung.

      Hey, yes! Radish and broccolli sprouts aren't grain, and they aren't legumes . . . but they still are seeds, which should have lectins. Somebody asked on the forum once why it is all right to eat nuts and seeds like sunflower and sesame, but not grains, which are just seeds . . . sadly, I do not remember what people had to say about that.
