  • How much fat does it take....

...to make you satisfied? Do you find the fat type makes a difference?

Just curious....takes me about 2tbps quill the urge to want to eat more. Hunger seems to be suppressed longer with animal fats rather than coconut or olive.

If I eat bacon for breakfast I can go almost all day without eating. Seems for me animal fat keeps me full longer. Ribeyes, porkchops and bacon I stay full for a while. If I eat chicken I get hungry soon after eating. I've decided I'm not going to be buying much chicken anymore. I cant afford to eat something that doesnt keep me full. Its an economical decision. One time I ate a slow roasted pork shoulder for lunch and I coudnt eat till the next day I was so full. I ate a very small amount too. I usually cook my steaks and pork chops in coconut oil.

Yesterday the only thing I ate all day was a bacon wrapped cheese omelette. It was delish! I was never hungry afterwards.

This may explain something for me. I scarfed on some chicken yesterday for lunch and was ravenous well before dinner. I've noticed some hunger after chicken before. Now if I eat bacon in the morning I'm good for most of the day, if I didn't have to make lunch for my kids I'd skip it. Maybe the chicken just doesn't do it for me either. Food for thought this week.

I will not be satisfied unless I eat a very fatty lamb chop, pork chop, steak (ribeyes, porterhouses, etc) or any fatty cut of beef (all at least 12-16 ounces). Sorry, but bacon and eggs just doesn't cut it for me! Chicken and Turkey can keep me full, but it has to be a very fatty cut, but since poultry have too much omega 6's, I don't eat poultry much. I stick to beef, lamb, bison, goat, and pork. I have notice that Lamb and Beef keeps me full longer. Love me some red meat!

Since I eat only two meals a day, with two snacks in between (IF for 16 hours), I make sure that each meal is very fatty (40+ grams, though I do not keep track)

I eat a lot of animal fat, it's my favourite for feeling solidly satisfied for a good few hours. Chicken works for me but I buy legs and thighs and they're very fatty cooked in the oven.

Maybe I'm weird, but too much of certain kinds of animal fat (lamb fat, bacon) makes me nauseous.
