  • Drain grease from ground beef or not?

And... does your answer make a difference if it's grass-fed vs. conventional?

    Thanks!

Not sure why you'd think of draining it...and if it's conventional, take a bit more of your Omega 3 supplement.

I do for some recipes, dont for others. It depends on what I am using it for. I dont like things swimming in grease just for the sake of fat.

So far I haven't drained any, but just wondered what you thought. Thanks!

I've never drained it, it adds to the flavour. But then I've also started pouring the grease from grilled chops back onto the chops; it's lovely stuff! But I wouldn't do it to the extent it was swimming in grease.

Definitely no need to drain... I only do if it makes more sense for a certain recipe, and then I'll try to use it to cook something else so it doesn't go to waste.

              This.

Ours is grass fed...can't remember the mix we told them to do when we had our cow butchered...I think 90/10.
