So my Grace is doing great on Primal, however, I have been tracking her macronutrients and I'm afraid she's not getting enough calories. She's getting plenty of fat, protein, and carbs, but she's coming up short daily at 600-800 cals. I'm just concerned cuz I know the USDA recommends 1000 calories for little ones. I am following her lead and feeding her when she tells me she's hungry, and allowing her to have free range among the food we have (since it's all good stuff-- fruits, veggies, dairy, meat). Does she need to be eating 1000 a day, as recommended? She is tall & slender for her age, according to her graph at the pediatrician's (90% for height, 20% for weight). She's 27 lbs, 34 inches tall (2-1/2 year old)
