  • Smoked Oyster Ideas?

I have several cans of smoked oysters. I don't like them by themselves, and prior to PB I would eat them on crackers.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do with them? Or an interesting way to eat them?

Slice some cucumbers and use them as "crackers." Cucumber slices are my dippers now in place of chips, crackers etc. Took a while for my brain to get over "it's not a chip or cracker!" and now I think they're great.

I like them in salads with mixed greens and avocado with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

I always put smoked clams or oysters on our primal pizzas.

I just posted the same idea in the sardines thread - Parmesan crisps work great for me. Spread a 2 inch diameter circle of coarsely grated parmesan on a cookie sheet, cook at 350 in the oven for about 5 minutes until slightly brown, remove with a thin spatula and let cool. You can even bend them like a taco shell before they cool down.

Awesome! Thanks for the ideas! I've been craving them, but can't stand the idea of eating them straight from the can for some odd reason. They need something.
