  • Who else here is pregnant and primal?

I'm expecting my 2nd child and about to enter into the 3rd trimester. I'm just now getting back to eating primal after a very difficult 1st and 2nd trimester filled with food aversions, fatigue, and nausea. Who else is pregnant here?

I am, I've been lurking for quite a while. I def want to primalize in earnest when baby is born, but I think I'm going to get a headstart before the baby comes. I'm 16 weeks along

Congrats Lori! I was in the same boat back in August. The nausea and food aversions were awful. I couldn't tolerate any protein for months. I lived off Thai soup for a while because the sour taste helped.

Hi NurseMama! I figured I may as well start now to keep weight gain in check and have baby be healthy. I was basically primal after my son was born because I had to cut out dairy due to an allergy and I lost the pregnancy weight and more really quickly.

Here! In my third tri now (see sig). First trimester was awful. I was sick and tired all the time, I couldn't eat anything, my whole summer consisted of me laying on the couch or in bed. I lost 8lbs from barely eating at all. Second tri was fine though, but I was still kinda off the primal wagon - we went on a holiday to hawaii for 10 days, and i threw my back out for another 2 weeks trying to move things i shouldnt have tried moving and ended up laying in bed on my left side..Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc etc. But now im back on track again yay!

I'm almost 9 weeks and have been fighting through the nausea for over a month, but staying strong on my 90% primal!

              Good luck to everyone!

                  hi all

yes i am 8 weeks and definately struggling with maintaining my primal living. Really hoping that things will ease up once i hit 12 weeks so i can get back on track. Massive food aversions to almost all protein!!

Just starting the Primal lifestyle, and will be TTC in August. Does that count?

Hey....thought I'd just check in. I will be 11 weeks tomorrow and I have been feeling a little better every day for the past week. Today...I almost feel back to normal! It is SO nice to be up and walking around and feeling good or thinking about what to cook for dinner and actually having something sound good instead of just less horrible! And I've been working out with weights and cardio at least 3 days a week, but today when I work out, I'm actually going to have energy! Yay!

Hope everyone else is driving on!

That's awesome Mel! Yay for being over the hump! I am so impressed you've been able to stick with working out through the 1st trimester. I was so sick, exhausted and short of breath that I could barely stand for more than a minute. I had been working out so much right before I got pregnant too.

I've been loving getting back to primal meals at night for the family and my husband is ecstatic - he's not primal but he loves healthy food.

Yeah I only started working out again since hitting the 2nd trimester. I had no energy and the nauseau and food aversions were bad. Now I feel normal and I need to slow down with how much I am eating LOL. One extreme to the other. Still having a hard time kicking the sugar, how the heck did I do it for like 2 months before getting preggo, it is pathetic. I start over again.

Yay momofredheads!!! Congrats on starting the working out again - I have found that if I do it (even a toned down version) on days when I just feel like hell, it always makes me feel better!

Nothing wrong with starting over again...the fact that you're willing to keep at it is completely awesome!

                            Good luck!!
