  • Balsamic Vinegar

I was just listening to Robb Wolf's podcast, and someone made an oblique reference to balsamic vinegar. From the context it sounded like they were saying that it's a no-no.

What's the deal on balsamic vinegar? Is it okay on a Primal diet?

The cheap brands contain sugar in order to mimic the taste of the good stuff. Maybe that's the problem. I buy the good stuff. I don't eat enough of it to worry about.

I use it in my daily salad dressing (dijon mustard, balsamic, and olive oil) - hopefully I'm not doing too much damage. I do believe Mark discusses it in his book as a no-no, but I would have to look it up.

Mark references BV in several recipes...it's can't be tooooooo bad. I do need to get some of the good stuff though.

            eat it....ya aint gonna die......

Buy the better stuff if you can afford it though. There is nothing nicer than some BV drizzled over fresh greens.....
