  • Soya Mince, Yay or Nay ?

It's very cheap and a little bit goes quite a long way.

    http://www.healthysupplies.co.uk/soya-mince-tree.html

    Typical Values per 100g
    Energy 267 calories
    Protein 51.5g
    Carbohydrates 13.0g
    Fat 1.0g

Anybody use it or something similar ?.

    Ummm... It's soy. No go.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

If it has soy in the ingredients, it is not okay.

      Edit: Beaten to the punch.

Anything made from soy is not primal. Soy is a bean AND it has some hormonal effects (particularly when not fermented) that some believe are unhealthy. A processed soy like soya-mince is even less primal than snacking on the raw beans. Just eat real food.

Zone diet on and off for several years....worked, but too much focus on exact meal composition

No go then. The only reason I would of considered it was because its pretty cheap.

Eggs are also pretty cheap. Go with them.

It's from a legume. Legumes, by definition, are NOT primal. So that'd be a great big NAY.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

"Soya" is just the UK term for "soy"

It's cheap because it is probably the waste protein from making soya oil. I guess they found that vegetarians will pay more for it that hog farmers. Are man boobs an added bonus?
