  • Fatty Liver - Eating Fat?

    I have been diagnosed with a non-alcoholic fatty liver. I have lost some weight whilst eating PB however I am a bit concerned about freely eating fat. Any advice or experience of PB and fatty liver would be helpful.

    You don't get fatty liver disease from eating fat (although fats like Vegetable oil which are high in Omega 6 can be a cause, but you shouldn't eat those anyway.) Fructose is a biggie, too.

      High-glycemic foods raise blood sugar fast, and are linked to contributing to fatty liver. High-glycemic foods include:
      * White bread
      * White rice
      * Most prepared breakfast cereals
      * Concentrated sugar

      Fatty Liver Disease is also caused by severe Choline Deficiency and by corn oil. You must eat liver, eggs and other sources high in Choline.

      We have Chicken Livers 2 times a week SMOTHERED in onions, and cooked in bacon grease or coconut oil. YUMMY. The onions REALLY make this dish delicious, otherwise I could not stand to eat liver. We also mix with scrambled eggs for breakfast... Yummy, Yummy.

      We also eat eggs for breakfast several times a week, a good source of Choline.

      PS) You must avoid all alcohol & high carb foods. The PB diet is good for your condition, focus on foods with high choline content.

        Sugar and particularly free form fructose cause that issue, not dietary fats.
