  • wild boar bacon

Just tried this and it is really good (but expensive):
D'Artagnan Uncured Smoked Wild Boar Bacon

from feral swine with no preservatives, antibiotics, growth hormones. There is some raw sugar (4th on the ingredient list) but I'm wondering if no sugar regular bacon or this product is superior in terms of eating primal.
    Starting Weight: 197.5
    Current Weight: 123
    Far healthier!

I think they're about equal. I eat wild boar because I have cheap access to it. If I didn't, I'd just go with regular pastured pork. I think I'd look for something with no sugar added first, and the type of pig second.

Dad is putting the finishing touches on a hog trap now. I may need to look into methods for curing.
