YES! I started doing this after seeing many of the chefs on the Food Network saying to do this.

I put mine up on a baking rack so the air can circulate underneath as well. No need for aluminum foil. Then I easily/quickly pour the drippings from the pan straight into my bacon grease jar.

I was thinking just last night that I should take a picture of my rack of cooked bacon sitting atop my clean stovetop.

Bacon comes out perfect every time. I like 17 minutes at 400F -- crispy.

I use the microwave. It's fast, easy, little clean up involved, and crispy how I like it!

I do it this way and pour the grease through a paper towel into a glass jar. Cleanup is a breeze.

Yupper! I also saw it on a foodie show and will NEVER cook it any other way...I don't have to babysit it, I don't have to clean up splatters or worry about littles getting hurt and clean up is a breeze. Bacon is perfect every time!

I cook mine in the oven too, on a cookie cooling rack that would otherwise go to waste

Oh, yeah, me too. Seems like there's less shrinkage, too, which means more fat to nibble on.

Wait, it doesn't trash your oven to do this? I've never thought to bake bacon, and quite frankly, I'm thisclose to banning the stuff because the man makes bacon and leaves the mess for me.

It doesn't trash your oven and tastes sooooo good! I do mine like the recipe in mark's book suggests. I put the bacon on a cooling rack set on top of a cookie sheet and bake it at 250 for almost 2 hours. I do 1 lb. at a a time and just throw it in the fridge to eat whenever, crumble on salads, throw in with eggs, etc.
Best part (or most tortuous part for my dog) is that the bacon smell in your house is pretty amazing

2 hours in the oven, I believe smelling bacon for 2 hours without being able to eat would have a drastic outcome......Donner party of 4?
