    hey,

    a friend of mine asked me a question i couldn't answer about primal.
    since we are going against the grain and getting most of our calories from fat,

    what are the recommended values for fat? (men and women)

    i know carbs 50 to 100, 100 to 150 etc.
    protein, 1 g per lb
    sodium 3500 ish
    sugar,,, lower the better?
    how about fat?
    is there such a thing as too much fat even if you are not exceeding you daily caloric intake? or
    is the fat intake governed by your caloric intake?

    i couldn't find anything on the forum, or articles... thanks for your help.

    You replace it with fat. 50-60% of your daily calories should come from fat (most here exceed that amount). So how many grams that add up to depends how many calories you take a day. Use fitday or Nutrionaldata to keep track, if that is what you want to do. Personally, I rarely count what I eat. If you on PB, that is not necessary, unless you are trying to lose weight or have a specific goal. Grok didn't count calories, fat, protein, or carbs. Just eat primal foods, and eat until satisfied.

    As far as processed sugar, stay away from them.
