  • Protein shake replacement

    I need a new source of protein since my old shakes have milk in them and that leaves me feeling like crap. But I don't generally have a large appetite so I need high protein in a small package to push me past 130+grams daily. Suggestions would be helpful, thanks

            Sure, I have a couple things that I like to do with tuna. I mix it in with cottage cheese (also has lots of protein), pickled peppers, and a little primal mayo and I also like to fix it with eggs. Rarely will I ever just pop open a can of tuna and go to town.

              +1 to Tuna. You can also do a can of salmon. If you shop around it can be found for a dollar something a can, which is pretty reasonable.

              With either Tuna or Salmon, I like to mix it with guacamole. It is an awesome way to have a protein and healthy fat, while avoiding dairy. Just don't mix it beforehand or the guac will oxidize.

                  Salmon is great too and I do eat a lot of that it, but it's a more balance ratio or protein and fat where as tuna is just canned protein. If you do dairy then cottage cheese is a good option too of course.
